ABOUT US

Brainstorm was founded in May of 2019 by two UC Berkeley neurobiology majors intent on communicating advanced neuroscience topics in a more approachable, intuitive way. By creating fun and informative programs for children, Brainstorm hopes to inspire youth to remain interested in the brain and body throughout their lives. Brainstorm provides workshops for the elderly to engage higher cognitive function while bridging the gap between senior citizens and college-age youth.

Defining principles of the organization:

1. Intergenerational education: Brainstorm welcomes people of all ages to both the library and nursing home workshops. By promoting learning across generations, we strive to prevent ageism and promote lifelong learning.

2. Creativity: Brainstorm believes that creative solutions are necessary to solve today's problems. All of our workshops are created to foster creativity and develop teamwork.
