Build-a-Brain Event Recap

Brainstorm had its first event today at the Claremont Library Branch in Berkeley, California. Kids ages 5-8 learned about the different lobes of the brain, their functions, and how different animals have different functions based on the relative sizes of their brain structures.

We compared human brains to whale brains. We looked at differences between cat and dog brains. We even got to make our own creative creature brains!

If you're interested in learning more about the lesson plan which is adapted from a powerpoint by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives, please contact us via our website contact form!

If you're interested in joining us for our next Brainstorm session at the Claremont Library Branch, come out on October 5 from 4-5 pm to learn all about neurons! We hope to see you there!
